As we all believe, it is very unfortunate and morally reprehensible to judge individuals solely based on their physical appearance. Even if it doesn't sound good, sometimes we begin to feel the way we are not supposed to. How do you look? Does it really matter? If anyone is getting any kind of favors based on their looks rather than their capabilities, such behavior is not only unjust, but it also reflects a crucial lack of understanding and appreciation for the innate worth and complexity of every human being.
To presume that one's outward appearance reflects their character, intelligence, or moral fiber is a grave oversimplification that violates the multitude of factors that contribute to an individual's true importance. Now all of you must be thinking, about what I am going to discuss today. It is about good looks. No, not at all. It is neither about beauty nor ugliness.
It is regarding those who suffer a lot due to their imperfect looks, especially women due to the complexion of their skin. Sometimes they even feel humiliated because they are not fair, and they almost go through this kind of discrimination in all fields of life. I don't want to say it happens to all women, but some of them easily get victimized.
It has been noticed that this kind of meaningless perception, or it can be considered a type of judgment rooted in prejudice, later becoming stereotypes, inhibits societal progress and fosters a culture of discrimination. Abstaining anyone from anything due to their external appearance creates a bad impact on the whole society.
The other qualities and capabilities of these ladies, such as unique experiences, talents, and accomplishments, get overlooked under various layers of disappointments. It may hamper their potential to cultivate empathy, compassion, and inclusivity, hindering social cohesion and stunting personal growth. It is the biggest injustice that can never fit into any frame of society. It is the biggest injustice that can never fit into any frame of society.
Yesterday I watched a documentary on TV. The documentary is based on the story of a girl who did not have an appealing appearance. The suffering and agony she went through cannot be explained in words. It was very shocking when she talked about her childhood in school. Nobody wanted to be friends with her because she was short, stout, and had a dark complexion.
As we know, children are more observant than adults. They feel, see, experience, and hear everything happening around them. They are quite sharp in pointing out any deviations from the norm or any oddity. She was a meritorious student at the school.
"But she never got recognition for this quality. Neither her singing talent was noticed by the students nor by the teachers. However, this kind of discrimination helped that girl get stronger. She was always the obvious winner whenever singing competitions were held, but nobody hyped her except her family. Her mother used to tell her, 'You have such a wonderful voice; it means God is with you.'
God had chosen you to make people happy with your singing. Her mother told her that this world is so cruel and harsh that one day your sweet music will mesmerize them like sweet nectar. Currently, that girl is a good singer. But this story of the girl has left me quite shaken. How can we say that 'all are equal'? Now tell me, what is women's empowerment? Why do we always talk about beauty as a criterion to judge a woman rather than the need for empowerment?",

Why should we all the time talk about when beauty is a criterion to judge a woman rather than what is the need for empowerment?
A woman needs only one thing that matters most, her beauty. This kind of perspective is quite enough to lead people in this reproachful situation. I do feel that whether a lady is ugly or beautiful doesn't affect her efficiency, skills, or her way of working. As a woman, her struggle was hard. She wanted to fight back against this kind of discrimination because a woman has a strong gut feeling, so she never bows down to the situation. Women have been making efforts and struggling hard against oppression, prejudice, tenets, and ignorance for ages.
Now, they are determined to prove wrong those who consider a lady inferior to them. The women are earning a name and fame for themselves in their respective fields. Presently, they don't want to be a part of any kind of beauty test. They are no longer pretty dolls, and no man can make them dance to their tunes. They are intellectuals, and no one can influence them the way they used to in the past. They are ensuring others that nothing can constrain the free flow of their spirits.
The male-dominated society only pays lip service to women's power, but women have made up their minds to take things in their stride and make the male dominance feel their presence by working as their superiors or bosses in every sphere of life. Social awareness and a second reawakening are essential to put an end to this stigma of beauty.
This is a kind of evil or even sin to judge anyone based on their looks. This misconception regarding women is not only strong proof of the hypocrisy of society but also insults and shows disrespect to the creator of this beautiful world. It is my humble request to stop this beauty test. Don't you feel that it should be stopped? As an individual and intellectual, She deserves much more than this. Always keep in mind that 'beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder'.
I know it is not very easy to combat this harmful tendency or traditional way of thinking. In India, it used to be very common that people generally looked for a fair girl to marry. In my childhood, I heard from my granny that girls were rejected due to their dark complexion. How humiliating it was! Now the concepts are changing. I can't say that it is a kind of big transformation that begins to be visible in society.
However, some fragrance of freedom oozes out from the old traditional shackles of useless perceptions regarding complexion and helps a lady to get more confident and courageous. Her courage and confidence are inspiring to select or go for those options that were usually considered monopolized by the male-oriented society, but now women's power can easily be noticed there. They are proving that their worth lies in their talent instead of fair complexion.
They are also moving ahead with great vision and mission in life, compelling people to accept that physical attributes can never overpower mental strength. I think it is essential to cultivate a mindset of acceptance and open-mindedness, valuing individuals not for their physical attributes, but for their inherent worth as human beings
By celebrating diversity, embracing differences, and recognizing the beauty within each person, we can truly progress toward a more enlightened and compassionate society. Let us strive to judge others not by their appearances, but by the content of their character.
