A question that is usually asked by many students is what is the role of the teacher as a guide  How much Justice are they doing with it The teacher is the author who inspires the students in how the blank pages of life should be written  It helps the students decide their future. We all know that when a child goes to school for the first time, the lesson of motivation begins. 

The teacher plays a significant role in the social development of children, including language, habits, customs, conduct, and the norms of behavior that should be adopted to help them adjust in society. Initially, whatever the teacher does, by helping to make the students sensitive enough to the goodness or vileness of society, will also encourage them to develop all the traits of leadership.

 It is a fact that whatever is taught becomes indelible, making it a significant responsibility in itself. Teachers ought to understand the importance of their obligation towards the students. They have to choose actions that might be sufficient to produce a good outcome. It has been mostly noticed that children always observe their teachers so keenly that they readily start to follow them.

In above description makes us aware of the role teachers play in making the objectives of guidance work on the ground, this kind of mentorship plays an important role in the lives of students. Teaching is not only concerned with making them learn ABCs and 123s; it is much more than this.

 It helps children to become self-reliant, and self-sufficient, to attain self-respect, and to develop problem-solving skills because it encourages students to keep trying without losing hope. This mentality also instructs that every problem has solutions. 

The teacher makes the students learn about healthy relationship skills, which are developed through further interaction with different kinds of people around them. All areas of students related to their social and emotional maturity should be developed. 

Teachers usually focus on enhancing the power of righteousness. When students begin to differentiate between right and wrong, good and bad, vices and virtues, they automatically gain knowledge about compassion, respect, empathy, and integrity. Self-understanding helps them in their personal growth. 

It has been noticed that there is a very low percentage of individuals who are capable enough of handling their problems themselves without any cooperation. It is needed by all of us. This cooperation sometimes comes in the form of advice from our teachers or mentors. 

We all are aware of this fact that the majority of students don't have that much confidence or insight to solve their problems in their own way because they get habitual or used to taking casual help or guidance to make things possible or turn their dreams into reality. 

The teacher recognizes the potential of their students and provides guidance accordingly. It is believed that guidance is needed on every front. Guidance aims to assist a person to accept himself and his world more effectively and happily. After guidance, anyone can come out of the normal situational crisis.

I would like to tell you, that proper guidance of a teacher matters the most and represents a wide range of approaches these are based on certain assumptions and main principles like -

a)  Many situations can’t be handled without help

b) Life experiences both formal and informal occasions so guidance is related to both.

c) Abilities that already exist in an individual are not usually specialized.

All these things can be determined by this approach very well. Man's education begins a few days after his birth and continues right up to the end of his life.  If someone asks, why is teaching considered a prominent pillar of education?  So many answers can be provided but I don't feel that it gives a true, correct and accurate idea of anything that is around us, so the significance of a teacher can never be analyzed our lives. 

In old education, the teacher was placed at the top of the educational process. In modern times, a teacher is considered a friend, philosopher, and guide. The teacher always tries to develop children according to their needs and nature. In the old concept of school, teachers were concerned with input and bothered little about output. 


Nowadays, teachers like to focus on general education to help develop children's capacity to execute different tasks with love, sympathy, and cooperation, making their personality capable of adjusting to the environment truly. Teachers are aware of the expectation that they have the mission of building a strong nation, so they should promote a sense of duty, companionship, cooperation, and unconditional support to mankind. 

This task is not easy; it is really difficult to carry out. Therefore, it is obvious that teachers will resort to other methods to help students understand, such as organising excursions and dramas. The children are not only trained but also inspired. 

The objectives of guidance work on-;: 

 1 ) The logic behind this kind of mentorship is that students who understand not only themselves but also their world will become more productive, adapted, beneficial, and happier human beings. 

2) To develop awareness regarding social, personal, educational, and emotional matters, students should be provided with appropriate and useful information. 

3) The skills of self-study, self-reliance, and self-analysis can be developed. 

4) Help the students make applicable, satisfactory, and adequate personal, professional, and social choices. 

5) To develop a positive attitude in students towards work and learning.

6) To help the students develop the skills of gathering and utilising information. 

7) Teachers enhance the motivation level for underachievers so they can use their potential to the fullest.

8) Help the students attain a positive self-understanding image.The values can be determined easily by using creative methods.

The teachers who have the feeling of professional commitment and accountability for their teaching task always enjoy the full faith and devotion of their students. A teacher knows well which process should be applied to the reform and culture of the child. The teacher, through different concepts of learning, enlightens the students to behave as cultured and civilised humans. 

Man is born with perfection, and the motivation of a teacher emphasises enabling them to experience this perfection. A dedicated teacher makes the students realise that the real meaning of personality development is not only about looking good and wearing expensive dresses but all about the inner self and being a good human.

I have learned in my childhood that, more than anyone else, you are answerable to yourself for your actions. Never try to follow things with which you feel uncomfortable. If things are not convincing to you, never go for them because it can be a matter of embarrassment for you..

Conclusion-:  Always keep in mind that a person with good reasons finds acceptance anywhere, anytime. I have learned in my childhood that, more than anyone else, you are answerable to yourself for your actions. Never try to follow things with which you feel uncomfortable. As a teacher, I do believe a sweet character will help you win the people to your side; it becomes the backbone of your magical personality. Your goodness will attract other people like a magnet.
